About the Role

As our Senior Accountant / Team Leader, you'll work closely with the Manager and wider team to:

Compliance & Advisory

• Prepare and review tax returns (individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships)
• Work across FBT, CGT, Div 7A, PSI, Depreciation
• Oversee BAS, GST, PAYG, and corporate tax compliance
• Conduct financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting
• Deliver strategic tax and financial advice

Leadership & Mentoring

• Manage workflow and review outputs across compliance and advisory
• Lead and mentor junior and intermediate staff
• Contribute to process improvements and help shape the firms growth
• Bring a long-term career mindset, with potential to manage an offshore team in future

Client Relationships

• Liaise with clients via email, answering queries and acquiring documents
• Ensure 100% accuracy, timeliness, and top-quality deliverables

What We're Looking For

Must-Haves

• CA/CPA qualified
• 7+ years in Australian public practice
• 2+ years in a leadership, workflow, or review capacity
• Strong knowledge of Australian tax law, AASB standards, and compliance
• Confident with Xero, Excel, MYOB, QuickBooks, and tax tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Exceptional attention to detail and efficiency

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with FYI Docs or similar DMS
• A natural mentor with a warm, approachable style
• Strong process improvement mindset
• Experience across a range of industries and client sizes
• Long-term mindset and excitement for future leadership opportunities
