Rental Counter Associate

Aaction Rents is a locally owned, multi-location equipment rental company serving Sonoma, Solano, and Mendocino Counties. We provide contractors, homeowners, and industrial customers with the equipment they need to get the job done — from heavy construction equipment to lawn & garden tools.

We are growing and looking for a Rental Counter Associate who understands that great service, product knowledge, and follow-through make all the difference.

What You’ll Do

As the face of Aaction Rents, you will:

• Assist customers in selecting the right equipment for their needs
   
• Schedule and process rental contracts accurately and efficiently
   
• Coordinate deliveries and pickups with our transport department
   
• Work closely with Sales to ensure proper pricing
   
• Answer rental questions in person and over the phone
   
• Follow up with customers regarding ongoing rental needs
   
• Handle cash and credit card transactions
   
• Communicate qualified leads to our Inside Sales Coordinator
   
• Follow our established chain of command
   
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude
   
• Complete at least 20 hours of continued education and training annually
   
• Support overall store operations as directed by the Store Manager

What We’re Looking For

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
   
• 1+ year rental industry experience preferred
   
• Familiarity with construction, heavy-duty, lawn & garden, and industrial equipment
   

Skills & Abilities

• Valid California driver’s license with clean DMV record
   
• Strong communication and customer service skills
   
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
   
• Basic mechanical aptitude
   
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
   

Physical Requirements

This is an active position that requires:

• Frequent squatting, reaching, pushing, and pulling
   
• Standing and sitting for extended periods
   
• Lifting 25–80 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 100 lbs
   
• Ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
   
• Awareness and responsiveness to potentially hazardous situations
