Primary Responsibilities:
This position is for a Trainer supporting the RCM business operations, to include Acute and Ambulatory Front End, Acute and Ambulatory Patient Financial Services- PFSThe responsibilities of this position will be to deliver the training curriculum needed to support the business units servicedThe person will deliver process, procedure and systems training for multiple claim platforms and ancillary systemsMay also deliver soft skills trainingThe candidate will work closely with the Operational Teams to identify training opportunities and implement strategies to conduct that training and make the staff more efficientAdditionally support the mentoring and coaching of Associate Trainers and TrainersComply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience (4+ years) in business management, training or other field of study that supports job role4+ years of experience delivering training in a business operation, corporate, or sales environment4+ years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle management servicesExperience in training in classroom, webinar and blended learning environmentsPosition requires professions licenses(s) and/or certification(s) appropriate to the designated area of coding specialty through AAPC or AHIMA (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, COC, CPC, CCS-P)Solid knowledge of coding guidelines, coding clinics and coding conventionsSolid knowledge of ICD-10-CM, PCS, and CPTProficiency in medical terminology and ability to read and accurately relay physician notes to learnersKnowledge in APC and DRG methodologies and all regulatory/payor requirements as they related to codingAbility to host meetings, conduct needs analysis with business units; work on multiple medium to large scale projects at a timeAgility in adapting to adult learning styles and interactive delivery methodsProven excellent verbal and written skillsProficient use of Virtual Training Platform (WebEx, Teams, Zoom) At UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
