Revit Designer Wood Frame & Site Modeling

Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Revit Designer with strong experience in wood frame construction and site modeling to support our architectural and construction documentation efforts. The ideal candidate is proficient in Revit 2025, understands grading standards, and can work independently with minimal oversight, producing accurate, high quality, and code-compliant models.

Responsibilities:

• Master Revit 2025: Proficiently utilize Revit 2025 to create, maintain, and manage highly accurate architectural and construction models and documentation.
• Site Modeling Expertise: Generate and manage topo-solids, applying and adjusting grading standards precisely to meet project and site-specific conditions.
• Wood Frame Construction: Develop detailed designs and models strictly in line with wood frame construction methods and industry standards.
• Code Compliance: Accurately interpret and rigorously incorporate relevant building codes into all project drawings and models.
• Precision & Quality: Maintain an exceptionally high attention to detail, ensuring no multiple rounds of QC's markups. All Revit files must be dimensionally accurate—with no 1/16” rounding or imprecise measurements.
• Measurement Standards: Work exclusively in imperial units; metric units are not used.
• Proactive Communication: Demonstrate strong communication skills by proactively asking questions when unclear, and consistently informing team members of progress, delays, or incomplete work to ensure seamless collaboration.
• Deadline Adherence: Consistently meet all project deadlines and deliverables without compromising quality.

Requirements:

• Revit 2025 Proficiency: Proven, hands-on experience using Revit, specifically Revit 2025, in a professional setting. Must demonstrate access and understanding of the 2025 version.
• Topo-solids & Grading: Demonstrated ability to create and manage topo-solids and apply precise site grading adjustments as required.
• Wood Frame Construction Knowledge: Solid understanding and practical experience with wood frame construction principles and techniques.
• Building Code Interpretation: Strong understanding and interpretation of building codes (North American codes preferred) and their application in design.
• Exceptional Attention to Detail: A meticulously high level of accuracy and attention to detail is paramount, with a zero-tolerance for imprecise dimensions or sloppy drafting.
• Imperial Measurement Mastery: Strong knowledge and exclusive use of imperial measurement systems.
• Effective Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a proven ability to ask pertinent questions, provide timely updates, and collaborate effectively.
• Independent & Reliable: Proven track record of delivering high-quality work on time, meeting deadlines with minimal supervision, and maintaining accurate Revit files.

Nice to Have:

• Design Acumen: Basic design common sense with a practical approach to construction and detailing.
• Industry Terminology: Familiarity with North American design and construction terminology.
• Specific Code Knowledge: Understanding of the Alberta Building Code.
• Advanced Revit Modeling: Expertise in Revit modeling beyond basic functionality, including taking sketches, SketchUp files, or CAD files and efficiently converting them into fully developed Revit models.
