Position : Sales Development Representative

Salary range: 1000- 1,500 USD 

ABOUT THE COMPANY:

We are a dynamic and growing company specializing in the acquisition of vertical software businesses. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Representative to join our team. If you have a passion for sales and business development within the vertical software industry, we want to hear from you!

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Business Development Representative will be responsible for outbound email and LinkedIn messaging to prospective businesses that fit our acquisition criteria. This is a desktop, Sales Development Representative (SDR) role focused on identifying and setting up calls for our account executives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vertical software sales and be proficient in using LinkedIn, HubSpot, Rocket Reach, and Crunchbase.

SCOPE OF WORK:

  • Conduct industry and competitive research to identify vertical software businesses that meet our investment criteria and specific metrics.
  • Engage with target business owners, shareholders, and senior executives regarding the potential acquisition of their business, primarily via email, LinkedIn, and phone calls.
  • Develop and grow a deal pipeline through proactive outbound sales efforts.
  • Maintain the group’s deal funnel, prospect information, and reporting in our database.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience in the vertical software industry.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Valsoft or Constellation Software.
  • Excellent email writing skills in English; must appear U.S.-based.
  • Fluent English speaker and writer.
  • 2+ years in Sales or Business Development, ideally with companies like Valsoft or Constellation Software.
  • Proven success in cold calling, prospecting, and sales processes.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to set and monitor personal goals.
  • Degree in business administration, business, or related field is a plus.
  • B2B software experience is an asset.
  • Proficient in LinkedIn, HubSpot, Rocket Reach, and Crunchbase.
