Job Description - SAP PS - Assistant Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Assistant Manager specializing in SAP Project Systems (PS) to support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of project management processes. In this role, you will work closely with stakeholders and project teams to deliver effective SAP PS solutions that align with organizational goals. Your contribution will be crucial in ensuring project success and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and execution of SAP Project Systems implementation projects, ensuring alignment with business requirements and objectives.
  • Configure SAP PS functionalities including Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Network Activities, Milestone Billing, and Cost Planning to support diverse project needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective integration with other SAP modules, such as FI, CO, MM, and SD.
  • Participate in client workshops to gather and analyze requirements, perform FIT-GAP analysis, and assist in developing functional specifications.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of WRICEF (Workflow, Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms) objects in collaboration with technical teams.
  • Support testing activities (SIT, UAT), data migration processes, and post-go-live support to ensure smooth project transitions.
  • Provide guidance on leveraging SAP PS best practices and innovations for enhanced project management.
  • Mentor junior team members and support capability development within the team.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 7–10 years of experience in SAP, with a focus on SAP Project Systems and involvement in at least 1 full-cycle SAP implementation.
  • Solid understanding of SAP PS configuration, including Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Network Activities, Project Scheduling, and Resource Management.
  • Experience in integration with other SAP modules such as FI, CO, MM, and SD.
  • Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology and basic knowledge of Agile principles.
  • Experience with the latest SAP S/4HANA enhancements in project systems is advantageous.

Certifications

  • SAP Certified Application Associate – Project Systems (Preferred).
  • Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP, Prince2) (Desirable).

Educational Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Proactive approach to project management and process improvement.
