Senior Accountant

About the role

As an Accountant (CPA) at Ubiquity, you will play a vital role in the company's financial accounting and reporting processes. This full-time position is based in Taguig City, Metro Manila and will involve managing the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring financial compliance, and providing strategic insights to support the company's growth objectives.

What you'll be doing

• Overseeing the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
• Reconciling general ledger accounts and ensuring the integrity of financial data
• Coordinating the month-end and year-end closing processes
• Assisting with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses
• Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, laws, and regulations
• Providing support and guidance to the finance team, as well as collaborating with other departments
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing cost-saving initiatives

What we're looking for

• CPA certification and 5+ years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably in a fast-paced, growth-oriented organisation
• Excellent knowledge of financial accounting principles, reporting standards, and best practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights
• Proficient in the use of accounting software and spreadsheet applications
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a dynamic environment
