Senior Accountant

1) Recording Day-to-Day Financial Transactions
• Supervise the recording and classification of financial transactions in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and PFRS
• Review journal entries, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Monitor the general ledger to maintain the integrity of financial data.

2) Processing of Disbursements and Collections
• Oversee the processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Manage vendor payments, employee reimbursements, and other disbursements.
• Monitor cash flow to optimize working capital management.

3) Preparation of Tax Returns
• Coordinate the timely preparation and filing of various tax returns (ITR, VAT, Withholding, Others)
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements.
• Liaise with external tax advisors and regulatory authorities as necessary.

4) Review of Payroll Computations:
• Review payroll computations for accuracy, including wages, taxes, and benefits.
• Ensure compliance with local payroll regulations.
• Address any payroll-related inquiries or issues from employees.

5) Financial Reporting
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Provide management with insightful financial analysis and recommendations.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
• With at least three (3) years of combined accounting and/or audit experience
• Experience in preparation of tax returns is highly preferred
• Experience with retail/manufacturing setup is preferred
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP/IFRS and tax regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
• Must be willing to work in Pasig City
