The Senior Accounting Associate / General Accounting Specialist reports directly to management and will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of the company's financial operations. This role involves a wide range of duties, including but not limited to financial reporting, payroll processing, tax compliance, and regulatory filings. The successful candidate will possess a strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Report to management regarding the finances of the company, providing regular updates and insights.
- Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor outstanding checks and prepare check requisitions as needed.
- Process payroll, 13th Month, Final Pay and incentives including government-mandated contributions, accurately and efficiently.
- Handle accounts receivables cash receipts and manage accounts payables, accounts receivables, inventory control, and banking transactions.
- Analyze costs of operations on a daily, monthly, and yearly basis.
- Record transactions, including receipts and disbursement summaries, maintaining detailed and accurate records.
- Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting, and other tax requirements. (BIR tax returns, including 1601-E & C & F, VAT, ITR, 1702Q, DST, and Alphalist, utilizing tools such as EFPS, EBIR forms, and Alphalist Data System)
- Organize and prepare files for the issuance of permits and ensure compliance with government-mandated permits and regulations (SEC, PEZA, LGU, BIR etc.)
- Manage general accounting, bookkeeping, taxation, and financial reporting processes.
- Prepare checks and vouchers for transactions and complete and file income tax returns and financial statements.
- Prepare bank reconciliation statements and coordinate with banks regarding fund transfers and wire transfers.
- Monitor collections and disbursements, maintaining accurate records of financial transactions.
- Liaise with banks, clients, suppliers, auditors, and government regulatory bodies to ensure smooth operations.
- Prepare financial projections and budgets to support strategic decision-making.
- Attend to additional requirements of the President and other executives as necessary.
- Perform any other tasks as assigned by Executives and Senior Management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of working experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Experience in auditing firms is a plus.
- Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with different types of people from various government agencies.
- Capable of liaising effectively with top management, communicating financial insights and recommendations.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in obtaining and renewing government-mandated permits, including but not limited to PEZA, BIR, and LGU.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements and procedures for compliance.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks software for efficient financial management and reporting.

- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks and deliver results efficiently.
- Willingness to adjust shifts as needed to accommodate business requirements.

- Willingness to travel for work-related purposes as necessary.
- Availability to start immediately.
- Willingness to work onsite in Ortigas Centre, Pasig City.
