About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to join our international Controllership team. You’ll manage daily AP operations, resolve vendor issues, support monthly close activities, and help improve payment processes.

What You’ll Do

· Process invoices with correct coding, approvals, and documentation

· Handle vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies independently

· Prepare and process vendor payments on schedule

· Support month-end and year-end close (accruals, reconciliations for AP)

· Maintain and update vendor data accurately

· Ensure VAT, WHT, and income tax compliance in line with local regulations

· Reconcile vendor statements and track outstanding items

· Generate reports for aging and AP cash flow

· Assist with audit support and documentation

· Help train junior staff and share AP best practices

· Recommend improvements to streamline workflows and reduce errors

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5 + years of AP experience, including 2+ years in a senior/independent role
• Strong knowledge of AP processes, accounting principles, and internal controls
• Familiarity with international AP and tax regulations
• Proficient in accounting systems like Business Central or Payhawk
• Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, formulas)
• Strong understanding of local and/or US GAAP, internal controls
• Excellent English communication skills (written & spoken – B2+ level)
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and problem-solving mindset
• Team player with a positive, can-do attitude
