Senior Associate - Cross Border Workforce
The Cross Border Workforce Senior Associate effectively executes core CBM (Compensation & Benefits Mobility) services globally with operational excellence and high focus on assignee and stakeholder experience. The role closely collaborates with colleagues within the same team locally and its counterparts in Leverkusen, Germany to provide back-end support for international assignment salary calculations, cost estimates, per diem allowances, one-time payments, assignment contracts and certificates across the assignment lifecycle. The Cross Border Workforce Senior Associate works with the Expert in ensuring quality submissions as well as with the Senior Expert in tracking KPI targets, and in conceptualizing and implementing process improvement. The role reports to the Cross Border Workforce and Total Rewards Team Lead.
YOUR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Service Delivery (includes KPI analysis)
Responsible for the Compensation & Benefits process for International Assignments globally:
Prepares Salary Calculations, Cost Estimates, Per Diem Allowances and Assignment Contracts/ Certificates
Calculates One Time Payments
Performs regular updates to international salary calculations (e.g. promotions)
Maintains data for all assignees in the global HR systems (APro, SAP GHP)
Ensures that ICS rules and local regulations are met with regards to the administration of the assignment process
Serves as an individual contributor and key topic expert focusing on a defined range of knowledge and services under Mobility
Acts as backup processor for other Senior Associate Team Members
Actively seeks knowledge and acts upon local and global stakeholder needs
Achieve KPI targets for timeliness and accuracy
Issue Management:
Evaluate the complexity of issues and assess transactional details vs internal standards
Takes ownership for, swiftly addresses and resolves issues and queries that require standard approach and regular handling
Work with the pre-defined matrix (Expert, Senior Expert, Team Lead) in resolving more complex, non-standard issues
Ensures documentation of incidents/ problems. Initiates preventive strategies attributed to procedural issues based on global steering guidelines.

Process Improvement & Innovation:
Use process knowledge to identify opportunities for process improvements
Take part in process improvements project execution and ensure proper documentation
Provide suggestions on possible system solutions that enable Bayer to develop talent and performance across divisions, functions and countries
Knowledge Management:
Build solid process and business knowledge
Create and maintain desktop procedure documents of performed process
Provide trainings, execute reports and process testing to keep the process stable
Stakeholder Management:
Strong customer service skills through performing activities and solutions accurately.
Has a clear understanding of the stakeholders, including their interests, influence and relevance to the organization.
Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership in delivering high quality outcomes and meeting established goals and deadlines.
May proactively identify opportunities to add value and address stakeholder’s challenges to drive satisfaction.
WHO YOU ARE
Graduate of any four (4) year course, preferably with HR background
Experience in Global Mobility is an advantage
Strong analytical skills. Process and detail oriented; ability to solve complex problems
Has high level of appreciation for accuracy, quality and timeliness
Strong sense of ownership and solution-oriented
Has the ability to work in a dynamic environment
Team player with strong social and intercultural skills and a hands-on mentality
Excellent stakeholder management experience and business partnering.
Working knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and tools.
Proficient in SAP, HR System, Excel and other MS Office applications
Excellent English oral and written communication skills
Ability to challenge the status quo and to embrace change
