What is your mission?

A Senior Azure Security Engineer should be an expert in deploying, configuring, and managing Microsoft Sentinel environments, with a strong background in KQL and PowerShell. This senior-level role involves leading customer onboarding and integration processes, ensuring the successful deployment and operationalization of Microsoft Sentinel within diverse client environments.

You will provide the best service to our partner brands by performing these tasks: 

• Lead and Collaborate: Work closely with internal security teams and external clients to ensure seamless integration and effective deployment of Microsoft Sentinel.
• Deployment & Configuration: Set up and troubleshoot Microsoft Sentinel SIEM solutions across multiple customer sites.
• Automation & Scripting: Utilize scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, and KQL to automate tasks and enhance system functionalities.
• System Development & Maintenance: Oversee the development and maintenance of cloud infrastructure vital for security operations (Log Analytics Workspaces, etc.).
• Trend Monitoring & Best Practices: Stay updated with the latest cloud security trends and incorporate industry best practices.
• Security Solutions Design: Create and tailor security use cases, playbooks, workbooks, and dashboards for Microsoft Sentinel.
• Data Integration & Analysis: Customize log ingestion strategies to optimize costs and integrate and analyze data from various sources within Microsoft Sentinel to enhance log analysis.
• Analytics & Threat Detection: Develop analytics rules to respond to the latest security threats and improve real-time responses.
• Compliance & Audits: Regularly evaluate Microsoft Sentinel setups to maintain security standards and compliance.
• Documentation: Produce clear documentation and operational guides for using Microsoft Sentinel effectively.

Who are we looking for?

• 3 years of experience in a similar role focusing on Microsoft Sentinel.
• 5 years of experience with Azure.
• Knowledgeable in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python and KQL to automate tasks and enhance system functionalities. 
• Proven expertise with Microsoft Sentinel, including experience managing multiple Sentinel workspaces using the Workspace Manager tool and implementing CI/CD practices for efficient deployment and management using Sentinel Repositories.
• Experience with Microsoft XDR solutions, enhancing capabilities in threat detection, investigation, and response.
• Proficiency with the MITRE ATT&CK framework, using it to inform security monitoring and defensive strategies.
• Strong skills in proactive threat hunting.
• Experience with Azure Lighthouse, enabling effective management and governance across multiple Azure environments.
• Excellent leadership and collaboration skills, with a proven track record of mentoring Security Analysts and working with cross-functional teams.
• Relevant certifications in Azure and Microsoft Sentinel are highly desirable.
• Previous experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment is a plus.
