About the Job:

We are looking for a Senior Application Support Engineer to support business-critical, microservices-based applications running across Linux, Kubernetes, and AWS/cloud environments. In this role, you will focus on production support, incident response, application troubleshooting, and system reliability. You will work closely with development and platform engineering teams to resolve technical issues, improve operational processes, and maintain stable production services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and maintain microservices-based applications across Linux, Kubernetes, and cloud environments.
• Monitor application and service health and respond to production incidents, outages, and performance issues.
• Diagnose application and platform issues using logs, metrics, monitoring tools, and system diagnostics.
• Work closely with development and infrastructure teams to resolve application, service, and platform-related issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and contribute to long-term reliability improvements.
• Maintain runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and operational documentation.
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive support and operational tasks.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Participate in a rotational on-call schedule supporting a 24/7 production environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience supporting production applications, distributed systems, or similar environments.
• Strong experience with Linux, Kubernetes or container platforms, AWS/cloud environments, and microservices architectures.
• Strong understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, APIs, TLS/SSL, application connectivity, and service-level troubleshooting.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, metrics, observability tools, Git-based workflows, and scripting using Bash, Python, or similar languages.
• Experience with API gateways, messaging platforms, DevOps/SRE environments, or relevant AWS/Kubernetes certifications is an advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced 24/7 production environment.
