Senior Compliance Specialist

Compliance & Risk (Banking & Financial Services)

• Responsible for doing research and track regulatory policies, criteria and industry trends in the field of financial payment in the Philippines. Also, include the company’s compliance in regulatory requirements as needed and necessary.
• Liaise with other business units such as Product, Finance, Operations and Legal Department which is to ensure that all business operations are in line with the business policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with other business units of the company such as Product, Finance, Operations and Legal Department, etc.
• Supervise and support the company’s business to comply with the regulations of Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), Anti Money Laundering Council (AMLC) and other related financial regulations.
• Work hand-in-hand with the legal team to review, validate and update the compliance policy documents (which includes Anti Money Laundering Policies, SOPs and Manual) and ensure compliance with the regulations and laws relevant to the company’s business.
• Assist and prepare the documents needed for internal and external audit work which includes bank or financial audit and BSP yearly audit.
• Part of the team that is responsible for coordination with financial regulators in the Philippines such as BSP and AMLC. Provide recommendation on compliance with regulatory requirements for the company’s application for launching of new products and services.
• Design and work with legal team on internal compliance training and anti-money laundering policies.
• Review due diligence requirements of customers and merchants and assess risk rating, provide recommendation whether to proceed with the onboarding, partnerships or activations.
• Review and submission of BSP and AMLC monthly, quarterly, and semi-annually reports.
• Participate in analyzing and providing opinions on the Company's business plans and regulatory clarifications in accordance with relevant rules, regulations, and laws accurately.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in business studies/Administration/Management, Finance/Banking, Accounting/ Legal Management.
• At least 3-4 years of BSP/CTF/AML Compliance experience in a banking, financial services, or fintech company.
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of payment products & services, financial services, banking, or fintech.
• Has knowledge and experience in compliance, risk management and internal and external audit conducted by regulatory bodies.
• Detail oriented with excellent analytical skills that can provide data and information to management.
• Has knowledge or experience in creation of policies, SOPs and procedures.
• Previous background in eKYC, bank or merchant onboarding.
• Amenable to work on site Mondays thru Fridays
