Our technology starts with you.\n\nSenior Engineer - Assembly Equipment Engineering\n\nThis position is responsible for coordination with Engineers and Technicians to ensure on-time resolution of problems utilizing process and equipment engineering expertise at area of assignment in Assembly at all times. He is also responsible for equipment qualification/upgrades needed for future products and provides innovative solutions for machine improvement. \n \nPRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: \n \n1- SUPPORT / MAINTENANCE - To achieve objectives in terms of quality, cost, uptime and delivery\n\n * Analyses and give timely alerts in case of unsolved critical problems and proposes the solution and appropriated resources.\n * Continuous equipment performance improvement\n * Provide Technical support to Operation on major equipment down\n * Spare parts repairs and rework and work arounds if needed\n\n\n\n2- EQUIPMENT QUALIFICATION AND UPGRADES - To meet time to market of new and transferred products.\n\n * Set up and ensure new equipment is ready on time for Production \n * PCMS / EQR report\n * System Enrollment: IEDB, FW2, CMMS/EIC/EMCS \n * Connectivity: IP/Port activation, Nozomi, MT machine Pairing, Machine configuration for SECS GEMS and sealing.\n * Evaluates and implements equipment upgrades\n\n\n\n3- PROJECT MANAGEMENT - To meet time to market of new and transferred products, flexibility and cost reduction\n\n * Manages/Involvement in Task forces focused on specific topics.\n * Works on and/or leads specific programs such as Capacity and Capability Improvement Program, Cost reduction, etc\n * Equipment Plant Champion Technical Community\n * Works on Special Projects like Automation, Robotics, Software for System/machine improvements\n\n\n\n4- TRAINING/BENCHMARKING - To adapt to new technology needs of Assembly\n\n * Trains the engineers, technicians and operators.\n * Attends professional seminars to benchmark and shares best known methods.\n * Interfaces with local service engineers\n * Benchmarking/evaluation of new equipment\n\n\n\n5- SAFETY, HEALTH, ENVIRONMENT, SECURITY, AND GOOD HOUSEKEEPING - To ensure compliance to applicable rules and regulations\n\n * Disseminates, explains and ensures compliance with rules and regulations on safety, health, environment, good housekeeping, and security in the area of responsibility to ensure that applicable rules and regulations are understood and implemented\n\n\n\n \n\nSPECIFICITY AND COMPLEXITY OF THE PROFESSIONAL ENVIRONMENT\n\nOutline the marketing, technical or organizational challenges which differentiate this job from similar positions.\n\nCapable of handling multiple activities that involves multifunctional work requiring diverse knowledge on the following:\n\n 1. Equipment Set Up and or Repair activity related to Assembly equipment\u0027s such as Wafer Saw, Diebond Wirebond, Mold, Singulation and other Assembly equipment to where they are assigned to.\n 2. Resolving process issues related to equipment contribution.\n 3. Technical knowledge needed for new and complex products that must be supported in a fast phase \n 4. Equipment planning and execution of improvement programs and cost control on maintenance spending\n 5. Planning and procurement of equipment/upgrades kits aligned with new technologies.\n 6. Continuous interaction with ST counterparts, suppliers/vendors, internal customers, etc.., for functional reasons, negotiations and updates.\n\n\n\n \n\nEducational background (minimum requirement):\n\n * With a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / ECE/Computer Engineering\n\n\n\nWork-related experience (minimum requirement including number of years of experience):\n\n * With a minimum seven (7) years experience in a manufacturing environment, five (5) years handling work related to equipment engineering \n\n\n\nSkills and knowledge:\n\n * Must have advance electronic/electrical/mechanical knowledge\n * Must be computer literate\n * Must be knowledgeable in FMEA, 8D and Statistical Process Control (SPC)\n * Must be knowledgeable in semiconductor technology trends and equipment\n * Must be an expert on at least one or more Equipment such as Wafer Saw, Diebonder, Wirebonder, Mold, Singulation, AOIs and other Assembly steps \n \n\n\n\nTS16949 TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:\n\n * 5S\n * 8D\n * APQP (advanced product quality planning)\n * CA/PA (corrective action / preventive action)\n * Document Control\n * DOE\n * FMEA\n * PPAP (production part approval process)\n * QC Tools\n * Quality Management System\n * SPC\n\n\n\nBusiness understanding (e.g., related to department, company, domestic or international market, etc.):\n\n * Familiarity with Integrated Device Manufacturer industry\n\n\n\nST is proud to be one of the 17 companies certified as a 2025 Global Top Employer and the first and only semiconductor company to achieve this distinction.
