Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Fund Accountant will perform the following functions:
• Finalize monthly Net Asset Valuations (NAVs), including portfolio valuation, income and expense accruals, and prepayment amortizations.
• Perform cash and portfolio reconciliations, ensuring accuracy across general ledger, sub -ledger, and financial schedules.
• Review and analyze legal documents including Limited Partnership Agreements (LPAs), constituent documents, and side letters.
• Oversee accounts receivable/payable reconciliations and manage outstanding transactions.
• Coordinate and support external audits, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
• Act as primary point of contact for internal teams, clients, and auditors, ensuring clear and timely communication.
• Streamline and improve month -end close processes and reporting cycles, leveraging automation and technology solutions.
• Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards, regulatory requirements, and client -specific procedures.
Requirements
Job Requirements and Credentials:
• Over 5 -7 years of experience in private equity and fund accounting, financial reporting, and compliance.
• Hands -on expertise in NAV finalization, portfolio valuation, income and expense accruals, hedge/stock distribution valuation, and GL/sub -ledger reconciliations.
• Proficient in leading fund accounting systems such as eFront, Investran, and ABACUS, with additional expertise in Microsoft Office and financial modeling.
• Experienced in client communication and audit coordination, serving as primary contact for internal and external stakeholders.
• Track record of streamlining month -end close cycles, implementing automation, and supporting process improvements to enhance accuracy and timeliness.
