As a Senior OT Cybersecurity Consultant/Engineer, your primary objective is to architect and design comprehensive cybersecurity solutions that are agnostic of specific technologies yet effective across diverse IT and OT environments. In this pivotal role, you serve as a crucial interface between IT and OT integration, crafting strategies that enhance security across integrated systems. Your approach leverages strategic partnerships with industry leaders in key areas like Risk Management, Gap Assessment, Security Validation, and Operating Model Development. Your expertise is also needed to provide and design solutions that are innovative and tailored, addressing the unique challenges of our clients and ensuring robust protection and compliance with various cybersecurity frameworks. This role is instrumental in driving the digital transformation and security initiatives that support our clients' critical infrastructure and operational needs, positioning our firm as the partner of choice in the cybersecurity domain.
Your responsibilities will include:
Serve as the lead OT cybersecurity consultant within multidisciplinary engineering design groups, ensuring the development of reliable, safe, and secure network and system designs, while considering project constraints such as risk, cost, schedule, resources, regulations, and cybersecurity standards. Oversee the development of project scopes, budget estimations, and comprehensive risk assessments to ensure alignment with client objectives and security requirements. Collaborate with clients and engineering leaders to identify and assess potential OT cybersecurity risks and threats, advising on appropriate equipment selection and security measures. Provide expert consulting services to clients, including master planning and the development of governance policies that adhere to relevant standards, policies, procedures, and directives to mitigate vulnerabilities and threats. Develop detailed system design and specification documents to address identified OT cybersecurity vulnerabilities, including the implementation of physical controls. Coordinate project meetings and deliverables with clients, engineering teams, and system integrators to ensure seamless project execution. Maintain and update knowledge of current cybersecurity standards and frameworks, including ISA-62443, NIST-800, ISO 27001, and others as necessary Design and deliver internal and external training and mentorship programs on cybersecurity topics, enhancing the knowledge base within the organization. Conduct post-project design validation reviews to ensure compliance with established OT cybersecurity requirements and client expectations. Lead and manage the review and delivery of cybersecurity engineering outputs across various sectors, ensuring high-quality project completion. Direct complex cybersecurity and risk consulting engagements, including governance, risk, and compliance reviews, to successful conclusions. Develop and implement specialized digital cybersecurity services and solutions, such as penetration testing and other assurance services, tailored to client needs. Review, recommend, and implement advanced cybersecurity controls, architectures, and technologies across both operational and information technology environments. Write high-quality reports that effectively communicate complex cybersecurity concepts to diverse audiences, including business and technical stakeholders. Establish thought leadership in cybersecurity, recognized internally and externally as a knowledge leader, and contribute to the development and dissemination of case studies and educational materials. Foster connections with colleagues locally and globally across the firm, showcasing the depth of GHD’s knowledge and strength to provide consistent, quality advice and solutions. Act as a trusted advisor to clients and internal teams on OT cybersecurity solutions and services. Lead the development of OT cybersecurity design requirements and create comprehensive documentation Qualifications, Skills or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related fields Substantial experience in OT cybersecurity engineering and consulting, with a strong preference for candidates with a consulting background. Pre-sales experience is considered a significant asset, enhancing client engagement and solution delivery. In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity testing, assurance practices, and engineering, underpinning a robust approach to security challenges. Comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity risk management strategies and practices. Possession of relevant industry and cybersecurity certifications, demonstrating a deep understanding of the domain and ability to meet client-specific requirements. Familiarity with global cybersecurity standards and the ability to apply these in a variety of contexts. Proven project management skills with a track record of successfully meeting project objectives and timelines. Well-versed in digital transformation risks and frameworks, with the ability to navigate and manage associated challenges effectively. Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, GICSP are highly advantageous Work schedule: Monday to Friday / 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
