Job Description - Senior Power Platform Developer

Role Overview


 


As a Power Platform Architect, you will spearhead the design and delivery of enterprise solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse), SharePoint, and Azure services. You will act as the technical lead, working closely with clients and internal teams to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and efficient solutions. This role is both strategic and hands-on: you’ll set the architectural direction, guide developers, ensure code quality, and drive project success from conception to deployment.


Key Responsibilities



  • Lead Technical Solutions: Design end-to-end architectures for solutions built on Power Platform and Azure, ensuring they meet functional and non-functional requirements.

  • Technical Leadership: Guide and mentor a team of consultants and developers throughout the project lifecycle, conducting code reviews and enforcing best practices to maintain high quality.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with clients and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, propose innovative solutions, and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards.

  • Solution Delivery: Oversee development (planning, testing, deployment) to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification. Address technical challenges promptly and optimize solutions for user experience and scalability.

  • Quality & Governance: Establish governance standards for Power Platform solutions (security, data management, compliance). Ensure all deliverables adhere to approved architecture and coding standards, minimizing technical debt.

  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with Power Platform and Azure advancements. Proactively recommend new features or technologies to enhance our solutions and processes.


 


Qualifications and Skills


 



  • Experience: 5+ years in software development/architecture, focusing on Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) and related Microsoft 365 services. Proven ability to design and implement complex business applications.

  • Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of Power Platform components (canvas and model-driven apps, flows, Dataverse) and integration with SharePoint and Azure services (e.g., Azure Functions, Logic Apps). Experience with Dynamics 365 integration and APIs is a plus.

  • Leadership: Experience leading technical teams or mentoring developers/consultants. Able to manage project technical workstreams and enforce coding best practices.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

  • Certifications: Microsoft Power Platform certifications are required/preferred – ideally PL-600 (Solution Architect Expert), with PL-400 (Developer Associate) and PL-200 (Functional Consultant) as strong advantages.

  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and produce clear documentation. Problem-solving mindset and a proactive, collaborative approach.
