DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Leadership and Team Management
a. Lead, mentor, and coach QA Analysts.
b. Assign tasks, manage workload, and ensure timely delivery of testing activities.
c. Conduct performance reviews and support professional development plans.
d. Foster a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
2. Quality Assurance & Testing
a. Define and enforce QA standards, methodologies, and best practices.
b. Execute functional, regression, integration, system, performance, load, and UAT testing.
c. Review and approve test cases and defect reports.
d. Perform bug analysis and recommend improvements to development team.
e. Monitor and ensure timely defect identification and resolution
3. Process and Quality Improvement
a. Identify gaps in testing processes and recommend improvements.
b. Support test automation strategy and implementation where applicable
c. Drive defect prevention and root cause analysis.
d. Ensure compliance with organizational, regulatory, and client quality standards
4. Collaboration & Communication
a. Work closely with end-users, Business Analysts, Developers, and Project Managers
b. Act as the primary QA point of contact for projects and initiatives.
c. Provide clear and concise reporting on test progress, quality metrics, and risks.
d. Participate in requirement reviews, project planning, and retrospectives.
5. Tools & Automation Improvement
a. Evaluate, recommend, and implement QA tools to enhance test management, and defect tracking.
b. Lead the adoption and continuous enhancement of test automation strategies.
c. Ensure testing tools are effectively configured, maintained, and used consistently by the team.
d. Collaborate with engineering and development teams to integrate QA tools into CI/CD pipelines.
6. Metrics, Reporting & Governance
a. Define and refine QA metrics and KPIs to measure quality, efficiency, and team performance.
b. Use data-driven insights to recommend improvements and support management.
c. Ensure lessons learned and best practices are captured and shared across teams.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Technical Skills:
· Hands-on experience testing commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and/or custom-built enterprise applications (e.g., Ivanti, or similar platforms)
· Experience testing complex, integrated enterprise environments involving multiple systems, data sources, and interfaces.
· Experience in non-functional testing such as performance, security, accessibility, or reliability testing.
· Proficiency with test management and defect tracking tools.
· Experience mentoring QA testers and supporting career development and skills upskilling.
· Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks.
Soft Skills:
· Exceptional analytical, strategic problem-solving, and communication skills.
· Proven capability to thrive under pressure, managing multiple priorities while maintaining focus on business-critical objectives.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
· Excellent leadership, collaboration and stakeholder management skills, fostering alignment with cross-functional teams.
· Customer-centric mindset with a proactive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum Experience/Training:
· 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or Software Testing
· 1–3 years of experience in a QA leadership or senior QA role
· Strong knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies
· Hands-on experience with test management and defect tracking tools
