Responsibilities:

• Empower Employees: Assist in delivering safety training and orientations,fostering a culture of awareness and preparedness.
  
• Engage & Proactive: Organize engaging safety activities,competitions,and campaigns to keep safety top-of-mind.
  
• Drills & Preparedness: Lead emergency drills,ensuring everyone's ready for any situation.
  
• Policy & Procedures: Collaborate on formulating effective safety policies,procedures,and programs.
  
• Eagle-Eyed Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections,identifying and addressing potential hazards.
  
• Incident Management: Investigate incidents,prepare reports,and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  
• Hazard & Risk Expert: Assist in hazard identification,risk assessment,and implementing mitigation strategies.
  
• Immediate Action: Issue timely safety alerts to personnel whenever imminent threats arise.
  
• Auditing & Improvement: Conduct audits of existing safety programs,identifying areas for improvement and recommending enhancements.
  
• PPE Guardian: Partner with operations to ensure proper inspection and utilization of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety devices.
  
• Oversight & Monitoring: Review safety technicians' daily reports,notifying relevant departments of critical findings.
  
• Liaison & Compliance: Escort regulatory agency representatives during inspections and coordinate with government agencies to ensure legal compliance.
  
• Contractors on Board: Issue work permits,monitor adherence to safety programs,and ensure contractors operate safely.
  
• License & Permit Management: Track equipment licenses and permits,notifying superiors of expirations for timely renewal.
  
• Performance Tracking: Analyze and report on operational and maintenance safety performance.
  
• Regulatory Reporting: Prepare and submit mandated safety reports to government agencies.
  
• Data Champion: Maintain updated safety statistics and records,ensuring accurate data for informed decision-making.
  
• Training & Awareness: Manage employee health and safety training records,fostering continuous learning.
  
• Clinic Collaboration: Partner with the facility's clinic to analyze employee health trends and identify potential workplace health risks.
  
• Safety First: Prioritize safe and healthy work practices,complying with all occupational health,safety,and environmental regulations.
  
• Order & Efficiency: Maintain a clean and organized work environment,complying with housekeeping policies.
  
• Team Player & Leader: Deliver administrative,HR,and other support functions as expected from a team leader.
  
• Collaboration & Contribution: Extend support to other departments,promoting safety initiatives and activities across the organization.
  
• Standards & Compliance: Adhere to all company policies and standards related to quality,environment,occupational health and safety,and information security,aligned with ISO standards.
  

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering,preferably Electrical or Mechanical.
  
• Minimum 3 years of experience in safety,health,and environment management in a power plant or similar industry.
  
• Certified Safety Officer by DOLE.
  
• In-depth knowledge of safety,health,and environment laws and regulations.
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  
• Multitasking and prioritization skills.
  
• Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines.
  
• Willingness to work in Mindanao.
