Position Title: SMSF Accountant
Work Set -up: Work from Home/Work from Office
Schedule: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Salary: Php 80,000.00 – Php 100,000.00

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR SMSF ACCOUNTANT

Your Responsibilities as SMSF Accountant would be:

• Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for self -managed superannuation funds.
• Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals.
• The ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and clients.
• Ownership qualities and the ability to successfully manage workflow.
• Proactive attitude, self -motivated and ability to work unsupervised and in a team environment.
• Reviewing taxation notices and preparing correspondence to clients.
• Liaising with various providers and statutory authorities on behalf of clients.
• Preparing detailed working paper files including investment, income, and CGT reconciliations.
• Processing transactions for Trustees, benefits transfers, contributions, and benefits payments on
• behalf of clients.
• Ensuring jobs are completed effectively by meeting technical standards and deadlines.
• Ensuring clients are made aware of their compliance obligations.
 
Qualifications as SMSF Accountant:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, or similar discipline is strongly preferred.
• At least 1 -2 years of proven experience with Self -Managed Superfund (SMSF) within the Australian context.
• Proficiency in BGL 365 is a must to ensure smooth management of SMSFs.
• Basic knowledge and understanding of the Superannuation Industry Supervision (SIS) Act is required.
• Familiarity with FYI and Xero tax software is desirable, although not mandatory.
• A genuine passion for delivering outstanding service and building lasting client relationships.
• Possess the drive to provide clients with an exceptionally high level of advice and care.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize workload.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
