SolarWinds Server & Application Monitor - Network Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• 5+ years hands on experience in Network engineering
• Proven incident and problem solving (troubleshooting) skills with an emphasis on a timely and accurate resolution.
• Leads network technology upgrade or expansion projects, including installation of hardware, software and integration testing, as well as coordinating these activities without disturbing function of other systems.
• Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with teammates, managers and clients to maintain high service levels in a demanding environment.
• Leads in the development and production of complex documentation for installation, network topology, and troubleshooting of communications hardware or software.
• Ability to learn very quickly in a fast-paced environment Ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.

Job Requirements

• Solid background in network administration and architecture
• At least two years of working knowledge of any SDWAN Technologies
• Nice to have prior SASE experience.
• Experience with security compliance standards such as PCI, HIPAA, etc
• In-depth understanding of routing protocols (e.g. BGP, EIGRP & OSPF)
• Minimum active CCNP Routing & Switching certification, CCIE preferred
• Solid understanding of network operating systems
• Sharp troubleshooting skills
• Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools
• Supporting in rotations shifts and 24/7 on call support
• Excellent verbal, written and analytical skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment.

SolarWinds expertise:

• Analyzing requirements, designing, implementing and maintaining enterprise monitoring tools and the supporting infrastructure.
• Developing and implementing custom Solarwinds dashboards and alerts to meet the requirements of the application teams, customers and other support teams.
• Defining, creating, and maintaining processes required to monitor customer environments to ensure a proactive approach for addressing alerts or problems.
• Developing standard operating procedures and user guides for the enterprise monitoring solutions.
• Identifying and developing ways to improve and automate monitoring to gain operational efficiencies and improve responsiveness.

Education

Bachelors Degree or 5 years experience in related field
