Sr. Citrix Engineer (Night Shift)

BASIC FUNCTION

As a Sr. Citrix Engineer your primary role will be as an administrator on diverse and challenging engagements. You will be responsible for the administration of Citrix VDI environments and related technologies. What you’ll do at Insight:

• Collaborate with cross-functional Insight project teams which could consist of Citrix pre-sales architects, engineers, product management and support staff

• Contribute to low-level designs while functioning as an advisory resource for “Best Practices” and driving adoption of the Managed Services Solutions 

• Stay within the scope of the contracted work and meet the deadlines for both time and materials or fixed scope engagements. Take ownership and accountability for individual deliverables

• Discusses project matters with Project Managers, logs support calls and interface with Support

• Contribute details to and successfully execute change requests and rollback plans when required demonstrating a good understanding of Change Management processes

• Virtual Desktop/Application delivery and management platforms   

• Identity Management and Access platforms   

• Cloud Hosting platforms – AWS, Azure, GCP 

• Maintain a technical understanding across Virtualization, Networking, Cloud and Mobility products/technologies

• Understand and deliver digital workspace infrastructure accelerator engagements, implementations, rollouts, and migrations

What you’ll need to join Insight:

• At least 6+ year experience in Citrix CVAD (XenApp and XenDesktop) on prem. Citrix StoreFront, Citrix Delivery Controllers, Machine Catalogs creation and expanding for growth, Delivery Group creation and configuration, Citrix Policies (in Studio and GPO, Publishing applications and desktops in Citrix, Granting user access to published resources, Deploying and managing Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS)

• 1 year experience in Citrix Cloud control plane

• Good understanding of Citrix Profile Manager and Roaming Profiles

• Solid understanding of FSLogix profile containers

• Ability to configure Citrix Federated Authentication Service (FAS) servers

• Configuring the FAS service in Citrix Cloud

• Understanding SAML-based authentication

• Understanding of Citrix Netscaler for Citrix Access Gateway 

• Good understanding of Microsoft Certificate Authority and PKI

• Active Directory experience  

• DNS records 

• Sites and Services 

• Group Policy (GPOs) 

• Installing and configuring Citrix Cloud Connectors

• Configuring Microsoft Azure as a resource location

• Ability to troubleshoot issues using Citrix Monitor/Director

• The ability to configure and maintain master/gold images and configuring the VDA agent

• Experience in configuring and managing Citrix Workspace Environment Management (WEM)

• Good understanding of Azure Resource Manager/Azure Portal

• Understanding of deploying and managing multi-session Windows 10 (WVD)

• Azure Storage Explorer

• Creating and configuring Azure Storage Accounts

• Creating vNets and Subnets in Azure
