As a Senior Paralegal, you’ll play a key role in managing the administrative responsibilities of the legal team while supporting a wide range of legal functions. This includes assisting with compliance, contract management, and legal research, as well as overseeing the management of premises licences. In this senior capacity, you’ll help ensure the smooth delivery of legal services while contributing to the team’s efficiency and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintaining register of all premises licences including liquor licences and food business registrations and responsibility for timely renewals, compliance and record keeping of licences.
• Assistance with contract creation, review and management. Maintain legal contract and matter management system including uploading new documents or contracts as required.
• Facilitating contract approval and execution process and other legal department processes
• Assist with legal research tasks as required.
• Interact with relevant internal and external stakeholders on matter specific topics.
• Establish and facilitate improvements in process as required.
• Other general legal administration support as requested by the legal team.

• Senior-level paralegal with minimum 5 years’ experience
• Proven ability to handle Australian legal matters independently
• Proactive ownership, able to work autonomously and within a team, across a number of different business departments and with a variety of stakeholders
• Strong work ethic, ethics, discretion, professionalism and confidentiality;
• Can do attitude
• Strong attention to detail, planning and organisation skills with the ability to meet deadlines as required
• Strong communication skills - both verbal and written
