Job Description - Sr. Service Desk Representative/ Operation Support Technician II

BASIC FUNCTION

 

Position Overview

 

The Sr. Service Desk/ Operations Support Technician II is an internal IT Operations role responsible for application patching and monitoring of Insight’s internal IT infrastructure.

 

What you’ll do at Insight

 

· Monitor IT infrastructure utilizing multiple tools

· Utilize ITSM platform to manage and log all support issues

· Monitor shared mailboxes, Microsoft Teams, and other communication methods used by other teams to report IT incidents to the IT Operations Team

· Participate in application patching efforts

· Complete various MACD type requests

· Create and maintain IT support documentation including knowledgebase articles

· Work with application owners to facilitate patching schedule

 

What you’ll need to join Insight

 

  • 2 years of experience working in an IT event handling/NOC role with intermediate proficiency
  • 2 years of technical phone support experience intermediate proficiency
  • 2 years of experience working with ITSM tools with intermediate proficiency
  • 1 year of vendor ticket management experience with basic proficiency
  • 2 years of experience working in an IT support role with intermediate proficiency
  • 2 years of experience supporting Windows server and workstation operating systems
  • 2 years of basic network support experience
