Role Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Staff Accountant to support our accounting operations and help strengthen our financial processes as the company continues to grow. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in general accounting, experience with reconciliations and month-end close activities, and the ability to analyze financial data while supporting various areas of the accounting function.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working beyond transactional accounting, improving processes, and contributing to a growing accounting team.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day general accounting activities and support overall accounting operations


• Prepare and complete cash reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations


• Review, validate, and ensure the accuracy of financial data


• Support month-end close activities, including account analysis and reconciliations


• Perform analytical reviews to identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities for improvement


• Assist with various accounting functions beyond Accounts Payable (AP)


• Serve as a backup resource across different areas of accounting as needed


• Support audit activities and provide necessary documentation and information


• Help improve and strengthen accounting processes, workflows, and procedures


• Contribute to scaling accounting operations as the company grows
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred


• Experience in general accounting roles


• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes


• Hands-on experience with reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close activities


• Strong analytical skills with the ability to review and interpret financial information


• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy


• Ability to identify issues, investigate discrepancies, and recommend solutions


• Comfortable supporting multiple areas of accounting and taking on new responsibilities


• Experience with accounting systems, ERP platforms, or financial software is preferred
