Strategic Sourcing Specialist (IT, Logistics and/or Engineering background)

TheStrategic Sourcing Specialistwill support the Strategic Procurement and Sourcing Manager in the implementation of business strategies that will ensure the competitiveness, quality and reliability of vendors including their materials and services. He/She will also support the sourcing for vendors with the best prices in the supply market and negotiating with the vendors especially on high-value and high-volume materials.

As needed occasionally, support the implementation of the procurement processes and immediate cost-saving opportunities. He/She will coordinate closely with the business or plant operations teams and maintain internal partnerships and collaboration to ensure the alignment of requirements for materials and services.

Job Description:

• Ensure the vendors/contractors adhere to the D&L Code of Business Principles and comply with QHSE Policy and Procedure, and maintain professional and healthy relationship between the company and vendors.
• Set, maintain, and communicate overall strategy, timeline and work-plan for sourcing projects and increased focus on collaboration and innovation.
• Lead review of the incumbent and other potential vendors, screening for past performance, strategic direction, financial health, market position, core capabilities, capacity, and other criteria as determined by the group.
• Lead development of proposal/bid solicitation strategy and prepare documentation and evaluation.
• Coordinate and direct negotiation with shortlisted vendors and prepare final sourcing recommendations.
• Handle company assigned and process for ordering of necessary materials and services
• Communicate with the vendors on escalated stock and/or delivery situations as well as any immediate / quality issues
• Assist the Strategic Procurement and Sourcing Manager in maintaining relationships with vendors and internal customers
• Prepare documentation and reports on procurement activities
• Perform other related and necessary tasks and activities in support of the role

Qualifications:

• Graduate of any Bachelor of Science Degree (Preferably in any Business, Engineering or Chemistry-related courses)
• Preferably Certified Strategic Sourcing Professional (CSSP) or Certified Procurement Professional (CPP)
• Good communication skills (oral and written)
• Good coordination skills
• Good external relationship building skills
• Amenable to work inBagumbayan, Quezon City
