Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Community Development or other related fields


• At least 3 - 4 years of end-to-end experience in the execution, implementation and evaluation of sustainability programs for communities and/or corporate institutions


• Experience in sustainability policy creation, implementation and design


• Familiarity with local/global sustainability regulations is an advantage


• Strong relationship-building and communication skills


• Strong project management and organizational skills


• Excellent command of the English Language (both written and verbal)


• Must be an individual with a passion for environmental advocacy and sustainable development


• Ability to work around technology and new software is preferred for this role

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement sustainability programs that promote environmental awareness and sustainable practices within the school community with the assistance of the Student Formation Services Department


• Coordinate school-wide environmental initiatives, such as energy and water conservation, zero-waste programs, recycling drives, e-waste disposal, and other sustainable academic projects.


• Collaborate with academic departments to integrate sustainability into curricula, research projects, and student theses related to environmental and social responsibility.


• Implement green building practices, waste reduction strategies, and sustainable procurement policies along with the Facilities Department


• Monitor and report on the school’s environmental performance, including energy usage, waste generation, water consumption, and carbon footprint.


• Maintain partnerships with local environmental groups, NGOs, and government agencies to support collaborative sustainability efforts and access grants or resources.


• Ensure compliance with environmental laws and standards relevant to higher education institutions and promote a culture of sustainability in campus operations and policies


• Coordinate with NSTP faculty on integrating Sustainability (Carbon footprint and Plastic Pollution) into the curriculum


• Create information drives that that promote the sustainability programs for faculty and staff
