Job Description - System Administrator (Australian Client/Day Shift)

We at Brainbox are looking for a System Administrator who will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and optimal performance of Brainbox’s IT infrastructure. You will manage servers, networks, and systems to support business operations and maintain a seamless user experience for both onsite and remote staff. This role works closely with all Brainbox staff and reports directly to the Delivery Director.



Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a System Administrator or similar role

  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems

  • Proficient in managing Active Directory, Office 365, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)

  • Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs)

  • Familiarity with IT security best practices and compliance frameworks

  • Certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, CompTIA Server+, or equivalent are an advantage

Key Responsibilities



System Management



  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, servers, and software

  • Monitor and optimise system performance and security

  • Ensure systems meet business requirements and compliance standards



Network Administration



  • Manage LAN/WAN, VPNs, and internet connectivity

  • Troubleshoot network-related issues and implement enhancements

  • Maintain firewalls, switches, and routers



User Support



  • Provide technical support to onsite and remote staff

  • Resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues promptly

  • Train users on new technologies and best practices



Security and Backup



  • Implement and monitor security measures to protect data and systems

  • Manage system backups and disaster recovery solutions

  • Ensure antivirus and endpoint protection systems are up to date



IT Documentation & Policy



  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of systems, configurations, and processes

  • Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures



Project Support



  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement IT projects

  • Assist with the onboarding of new staff



Software / Systems



  • Active Directory

  • Microsoft Office 365

  • AWS / Azure

  • Windows & Linux Servers

  • Network infrastructure (Firewalls, Switches, Routers)

This role is subject to a number of skills and possible online practical tests.
This position is an onsite role at our Pampanga office. Candidate must be willing to work on-site.
