Systems Administrator

As a Systems Administrator, you will be at the forefront of managing and maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring robust security, reliability, and peak performance. Your responsibilities include overseeing system upgrades, backups, and disaster recovery plans while enforcing compliance with industry standards. You will troubleshoot issues, provide technical support to users, and collaborate with vendors for essential hardware and software. Additionally, you will continuously monitor and optimize system performance, driving improvements and efficiency within the IT environment

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft Server operating systems.

Manage and maintain the organization's VOIP server infrastructure, ensuring reliable communication services.

Regularly update firewall firmware and apply security patches to protect against vulnerabilities and emerging threats.

Enforce IT security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Ensure that systems and procedures align with applicable regulatory requirements and industry standards to maintain compliance and minimize risk.

Conduct regular drills and simulations to test the effectiveness of response procedures and identify areas for improvements.

Set up and maintain system monitoring tools to proactively detect and resolve issues before they impact business operations.

Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues promptly to minimize downtime and restore services.

Serve as a point of escalation for complex technical issues that cannot be resolved by frontline support staff.

Establish and maintain backup and recovery processes to protect critical data and systems from loss or corruption.

Implement and adhere to formal change management processes to control and track changes to IT systems and infrastructure.

Monitor patch compliance and remediate any issues to maintain system security and stability.

Monitor system performance metrics and analyze trends to identify potential bottlenecks or areas for optimization.

Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers to procure hardware, software, and services that meet organizational requirement.

Skills & Qualifications

Proficient in managing and maintaining computer systems, servers, and network infrastructure.

Experienced in installing, configuring, and optimizing Microsoft Server operating systems.

Skilled in troubleshooting hardware and software issues promptly to minimize downtime.

Ability to enforce security measures and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).

Capable of conducting security assessments, audits, and implementing remediation measures.

Experienced in implementing and testing patch management policies to ensure system security and stability.

Capable of evaluating vendor proposals, contracts, and service level agreements (SLAs) to align with business needs.

Skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams and end-users to provide support and resolve technical issues promptly.

Proactive in identifying opportunities for process improvements, automation, and efficiency gains.

Skilled in implementing changes and initiatives to enhance the reliability and quality of IT infrastructure and services.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Minimum of 3 years in managing and maintaining IT infrastructure, including servers, network systems, and security protocols.

Familiar with Mikrotik Devices, Grandstream, and Ubiquiti devices .

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Server operating systems, Active Directory, and network administration.

Experience in implementing and managing backup and disaster recovery plans.

Relevant certifications such as MCSE, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or CCNA.

Knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR) and their implementation (preferred).

30% Night Differential Pay

The standard night differential pay in the Philippines is 10%. Our rate is 2x higher than that of other companies.
