Tax Analyst

• Assist with the indirect tax compliance and reporting processes, including monthly reconciliation of the general ledger tax accounts and preparation of tax reports for our third-party consultants. Indirect tax compliance includes US Sales and Use Tax, Gross Receipt Tax, Canadian HST/GST, and US Telecommunications Taxes and Fees
• Assist in the preparation of monthly tax journal entries. 
• Assist with the maintenance of existing tax systems such as Avalara Avatax and Avalara for Communications
• Assist with customer inquiries related to indirect tax charges on customer invoices
• Assist with tax notices and business license renewals and help process tax payments
• Support other ad hoc projects such as tax audits, finance systems UATs, Telecom tax studies

• Bachelor’s in Accounting (or equivalent)
• Demonstrated accounting background. An ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in Tax
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be self-motivated, and be able to work in a team environment as well as independently
• Must be detail oriented, proactive and have great analytical skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, with strong Excel skills
• Ability to analyze and reconcile large data sets
• Great organizational and time management skills

• A Licensed CPA or with any equivalent certification is a plus
• Exposure to US GAAP
• Working knowledge of Avalara and Alteryx (or related)
• Experience in the SaaS sector

• Monthly Salary Range: PHP 90,000 – PHP 100,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
