Taxation Manager

Job Summary:
The Tax Manager will be responsible for ensuring the Company's adherence to tax regulations, overseeing tax reporting, managing compliance and tax audit activities, and providing leadership to the team.


Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the Tax Department to ensure timely and accurate processing of corporate tax returns and reports, including corporate local government compliances.
Ensures all aspects of relevant tax laws and regulations and reporting for the Company, including local tax filing and audits, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
a. Oversee the corporate compliances with BIR.
b. Oversee the corporate compliances with LGU.
c. Advise and assist in the compliances with SEC.
3. Act as champion for the tax strategies:
a. Develop and recommend tax strategies, policies and procedures
b. Oversee the implementation of these tax strategies.
c. Provide advice to other business units for any business initiatives
affecting tax compliance.
4. Coordinate with external auditors and tax authorities, responding to inquiries and resolving any tax-related issues.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and accounting, to ensure tax considerations are integrated into business decisions and transactions.
6. Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, communicating implications to relevant stakeholders within the Company.
7. Prepare and present tax-related weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports to management and stakeholders.


Job Qualifications:
Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy
Preferably a Certified Public Accountant
Preferably a Certified Tax Technician
At least 3-5 years work experience relevant to the role
Strong knowledge of local tax regulations, with the ability to interpret and apply complex tax laws
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
