DESCRIPTION:
Guide an effective Accounts Receivable team in supporting operational excellence and financial success at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As Team Leader, you'll oversee daily operations while ensuring adherence to service level agreements and company policies. You'll contribute to optimizing cash flow, minimizing bad debt exposure, and maintaining strong customer relationships. This position provides opportunities to implement process improvements, support team members, and collaborate across departments to achieve results.

Working with internal stakeholders and external customers, you'll apply your leadership abilities and financial expertise to resolve complex issues and implement best practices. Your communication skills and analytical approach will help build productive relationships while ensuring compliance with financial controls and regulations. REQUIREMENTS:
• Advanced Degree, no prior experience required, or Bachelor's Degree plus 2 years of accounts receivable experience, including team leadership role
• Preferred Fields of Study: Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field
• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ICM) or equivalent is preferred
• Advanced proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards) and collections software
• Strong knowledge of credit management, collections processes, and financial controls
• Excellence in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
• B2+ English language proficiency; additional language skills may be required for certain locations
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and develop teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for handling complex financial scenarios
• Experience with financial statement analysis and credit risk assessment
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations regarding collections, bankruptcy, and credit
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills for managing internal/external stakeholders
• Proven track record of meeting KPIs and implementing process improvements
• Experience working in a shared services environment preferred
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain high ethical standards
