Tech Engineer

Job brief

Looking for a Technical Operations Engineer to support and maintain the reliability and performance of its backend systems and infrastructure. This role is instrumental in ensuring operational stability across Azure services, internal core systems, Bancnet connectivity, and other critical backend services.

The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and experienced in managing complex infrastructure environments, particularly within Microsoft-based ecosystems. You will play a central role in systems monitoring, performance optimization, and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain infrastructure performance for cloud-based (Azure), on-premises, and integrated third-party systems, including financial service platforms.
• Conduct proactive analysis of backend environments to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, or potential issues related to capacity, security, and overall performance

• Lead execution of database-related tasks including

  replication,mirroring, back-ups, tuning, and disk 

  space management.
• Collaborate with IT teams to configure, enhance, and troubleshoot systems across backend networks, databases, infrastructure, and application layers.
• Participate in the optimization of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation using scripting tools such as PowerShell and ARM templates.
• Provide support in the setup and maintenance of RESTful API integrations and network connectivity to ensure application stability and responsiveness.
• Track and manage incidents through root cause analysis and escalation protocols to ensure minimal service interruption.
• Ensure system logs, event tracking, and security monitoring are in place and aligned with operational standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field
• Between 1 and 3 years of experience in software engineering
• Experience developing server-side web applications in Java
• Experience developing Java Web Services with public API (e.g. REST, SOAP)
• Experience with relational (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB)
• Proficient in object-oriented development
• Able to effectively and quickly adopt new technology
• Knowledge of Java frameworks, architecture, and design patterns
• Good communication skills
