Technical Lead (Cybersecurity)

The Role

Role Responsibilities:

• Lead the technical aspects of application, data, endpoint, and identity security within the organization.
• Take ownership of end-to-end security for applications, including design, implementation, and ongoing monitoring.
• Manage and secure user identities and access to systems, applications, and resources.
• Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive security solutions and frameworks across multiple domains.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and provide security-related guidance during design and implementation phases.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments, vulnerability testing, and security audits to identify and address potential risks and vulnerabilities.
• Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Implement and manage security controls, including authentication mechanisms, encryption, access controls, and data protection measures.
• Stay updated with the latest security threats, technologies, and trends, and integrate relevant advancements into security practices.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to security engineering team members.
• Participate in incident response activities, including incident investigation, analysis, and post-incident remediation.
• Collaborate with IT, security, and compliance teams to ensure security practices align with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate and recommend emerging security technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance security posture.
• Drive automation and optimization initiatives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of security processes.

Ideal Profile

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in security engineering roles, with a focus on application, data, endpoint, and identity security.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing robust security solutions in complex environments.
• In-depth knowledge of security principles, best practices, and relevant regulations across multiple domains.
• Strong understanding of secure coding practices, security architectures, and risk management frameworks.
• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in application development.
• Experience with security testing tools, vulnerability assessment tools, and incident response procedures.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
• At least 3 years of relevant leadership experience, including managing and mentoring a team of security professionals.
• Ability to effectively mentor and coach team members.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CSSLP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement in security practices.
