Job Description - Technical Writing and Documentation Specialist

Job Overview 

KDCI Outsourcing is looking for a meticulous and experienced Technical Writing and Documentation Specialist to create and maintain high-quality documentation that supports business growth and operational excellence. This role is crucial in producing clear and accurate content for RFP responses, service deliverables, and operational playbooks. The ideal candidate has a strong background in technical writing and a solid understanding of IT services and infrastructure. 

 

Job Responsibilities 

  • Develop and write comprehensive RFP responses aligned with technical specifications and business capabilities 

  • Create and maintain service documentation such as High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs), and system architecture guides 

  • Produce detailed operational playbooks and runbooks for deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting processes 

  • Collaborate with engineering, project management, and sales teams to gather technical inputs and translate them into client-facing content 

  • Standardize documentation formats and templates to ensure clarity and consistency across all materials 

  • Manage review cycles and incorporate feedback to maintain documentation accuracy and relevance 

  • Continuously enhance documentation usability based on stakeholder and client feedback 

Job requirements

Job Requirements 

  • Proven experience in technical writing, preferably within the IT services or infrastructure domain 

  • Strong understanding of IT concepts including systems architecture, deployment, and maintenance 

  • Familiarity with the RFP process and experience in writing formal proposals 

  • Experience in designing and maintaining documentation templates and standards 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical content 

  • Proficiency in documentation tools such as MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, or equivalent platforms 

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines 

  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical thinking 

  • Preferred but not required: Educational background in IT, Computer Science, or Information Systems
