Job Description - Technician Team Leader (Continuous Improvement)


The position is to manage Moonshine facilities to provide on time support for kaizen implementation and other operation’s furniture requirements for continuous improvement.



  1. Ensure Safety in Moonshine

  2. Maintain Shop discipline and unnecessary use of Moonshine Facility

  3. Responsible for Planning, Production, Quality and Delivery on time of Moonshine Job orders

  4. Ensure Material availability for on-going and next order

  5. Optimum utilization of human resources.

  6. Overtime work recommendation/planning during moonshine production criticality.

  7. Ensure housekeeping of tools and equipment.

  8. Updating of daily Moonshine production status board.

  9. Regular reporting of Moonshine metrics including project status, cost savings and defects

  10. Train operators in Moonshine Fabrication before using the Facilities

  11. Defining and updating of PPE matrix.

  12. Poka-yoke & kaizen implementation & Participation

  13. Safety + 5S auditing in coordination with core members.

  14. Ensuring the implementation of Bright Idea.

  15. Conduct training on Continuous Improvement.


Qualification



  • BE / Diploma in mechanical Engg.

  • 3+ years’ experience.

  • Moonshine Fabrication, Welding, Project planning and execution

  • Should have knowledge on reading & understanding the drawings

Job Requirements


  • Working with the line managers, leaders, and other technicians to determine the employees' training needs and develop training programs to assist them.

  • Leading the improvement opportunities and cost-saving measures,  monitoring operations for quality standards, and improving effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Evaluating and prioritizing potential improvements based on the cost factor and the efforts and establishing a clear implementation plan.

  • Overseeing the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives by supporting the department managers and supporting the development of communication strategies.


What your background should look like

Typically requires 4-5 years or more of related work experience. Requires high school diploma. Completion of an AA degree or equivalent is preferred.
