Technology Senior Engineer | BA-GA

I. PURPOSE

• Deep interest in research and data analysis, capturing actionable insights from data


• Reports to Analytics Lead


• Collaborates with internal and external teams


• Oversees and Supports activities of the Data Team


• Builds the clients’ data collection systems and processing pipelines and data processing frameworks that handle the business’s growing database


• Manages and handles simultaneous tasks and projects, prioritize work, while remaining functional under pressure and aggressive timelines

II. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Help translate business needs and requirements to technical specifications


• Data Analytics


• Help clients define and refine metrics and KPIs that answer their key business questions 


• Perform or provide support to data analysts for the following activities: 


• Data review and validation of customer data collected 


• Data profiling to identify and understand anomalies 


• Data preparation for analysis and visualization/reporting 


• Solutions building, testing, productionize, and deployment 


• Technical document creation and update 


• Knowledge sharing and/or technical training 


• Create value from data by performing analytics and statistical techniques to identify insights, generate recommendations and Communicate data value to key stakeholders 


• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with other stakeholder groups 

People Management

• Build an environment where problems can be raised w/o fear of blame, retribution, or judgement


• Be open and actively listen to members’ concerns, suggestions


• Ensure that the team is adequately staffed both in terms of numbers and skill set/expertise


• Establish a goal for the team, as well as for each member of the team


• Provide feedback (either positive or negative) to members; Recognize high performance

Project Management

• Triage; Ensure that the project is aligned with the skillsets, direction, and availability of the team 


• Allocate resources to projects or requests 


• Coordinate and handle multiple, simultaneous pre-sales activities and projects


• Ensure the timely and of quality delivery and completion of projects and services

Process Management

• Help design, implement, and keep up-to-date the processes and systems, ensuring efficient and effective implementation of all projects 


• Ensure that all project and team documents are complete as this is the basis for discussions with clients 

As a team member

• Help cultivate a psychologically safe environment


• Encourage and help other team members on their weak points, as well as be open to asking for other team members’ help on your weak points


• Share knowledge (via brown bag or technical sessions)


• Perform similar duties aligned with the proper execution of roles and responsibilities assigned

III. QUALIFICATIONS

A. Minimum Education

A graduate of any 4-year IT related courses:

• BS in Electronics Engineering§ BS in Electronics and Communications Engineering


• BS in Information Technology§ BS in Computer Engineering


• BS in Computer Science


• BS in Information System

B. Minimum Experience/Training

• Experience implementing a Machine Learning Project


• Can be as a project in your company, a freelance project, or a personal project


• Must be able to explain the process of how the project was developed


• Demonstrated technical and leadership skills


• Collaboration


• Ownership


• Sense of urgency


• Communication


• Experience developing a Machine Learning model and having it used by the client or any end user


• Experience deploying a Machine Learning Model


• Experience integrating a Data Science Solution with Dashboards (tools like Tableau, PowerBI)


• Experience in report and dashboard creation, statistical/data modeling, quantitative analytics, data mining and analysis techniques

C. Competency

• Demonstrated ability to convey complex concepts and solutions to all levels of an organization


• Proficient with Implementation experience in at least one of the following tools: Tableau, Alteryx, and/or PowerBI (Intermediate level)


• Programming Python/R and familiar with data wrangling and modeling libraries


• Has at least one subject area or industry of expertise – knowledge in application domains such as in Finance, Healthcare, Education, Manufacturing
