Trader

Responsibilities:

1. Negotiates and executes all investments and trading functions such as but not limited to:

• All investments in GS/TD/Special Savings/Bonds/loans/commercial papers/mutual funds/exchange traded funds (ETFs)/foreign exchange and equity issues as approved by the Trust Committee and per direction of trust clients.


• Trading Functions with traders of other financial institutions as approved by the Department Head of Division Head.


• Provides comprehensive daily canvasses of all investment outlets/instruments for dissemination to all fund managers and account managers.


• Assure good rapport and development of strong liaison relationships with existing dealers/agents/brokers/counterparties.


• Checking and confirmation of maturities (principal and coupon payments) from counterparties/paying agents and custodians.

2. Monitors market information such as counterparty feedbacks, trends, volumes, etc. for the information of all concerned.

3.Summarizes collates all investments programs for various instruments from all the fund and account managers for negotiation with counterparties.

4.Ensures compliance of department to trading policies and practices of the different counterparties participated in trading activities, in a manner that conforms to legal, tax, regulatory and accounting provisions.

5.Monitoring of Line Utilization and Trading Limit

• Monitor the purchases/sales/maturities/pre-terminations of investment outlets such as but not limited to:


• Government Securities


• Time deposits


• Special Savings


• Bonds


• Commercial Papers


• Loans


• Mutual Funds


• Exchange Traded Funds


• Equities


• Foreign Exchange

6.Awareness in trust policies, exposure and trading limits regarding transactions with counterparties such as financial institutions, brokers, dealers and corporate issuers.

7.Operation Sufficiency

• Ensures proper timely execution of transactions in Trust Systems (Global Plus and Ideal Wealth System).


• Checks and review transactions encoded by Account Officers before execution.


• Perform other duties that may be assigned.
