TRS Claims
Decide program requests (pre-approvals) and reimbursement claims, keeping program and non-program reimbursements separate.
Check documentation before approving: itemized payment proof showing course and institution, grades, and withdrawal status for courses graded W. Reject incomplete requests.

Review the monthly SLRA estimate with ADC and client contacts before invoices are finalized.
Investigate SLRA invoice discrepancies and confirm each user’s employer in BenefitEd matches the CRM.

Trigger eligibility file updates when hires, terminations or contribution amounts change, so invoices and payments stay correct.
Investigate payments made after employment ended and payments that never arrived.
Payments, Refunds and Reconciliation
Check TRS payments weekly and monthly against approved claims.

Resolve overpayments, duplicate payments, and refunds with ADC, BenefitEd, and clients, and document each fix.
Reconcile client accounts when payments and records disagree.
Gather the facts on tax-treatment questions (taxable vs. non-taxable payments) and route them to accounting.
Vendor Coordination
Serve as the day-to-day BenefitEd contact: monthly sync, conversion files, overpayment follow-ups, and loan servicer documents.
Work with ADC on invoices, payment confirmations, and fund returns.
Product and Documentation
Represent operations in weekly TRS meetings with Engineering; supply categorized ticket data and test changes, including TRS AI tools.
Ad Hoc Tasks
Perform other related administrative and operational tasks as assigned.
Support additional projects and team activities as needed.
Requirements & Qualifications:
2+ years in benefits administration, payroll, accounts payable, or financial operations support
Experience reconciling payments against source records and tracing discrepancies to the root cause
Working knowledge of a ticketing or CRM system (HubSpot preferred)
Clear written communication with HR, finance, and vendor contacts
High accuracy when handling sensitive employee financial data
Tuition reimbursement or student loan repayment program experience
Familiarity with payroll file formats or ACH payment platforms (NatPay or similar)
