A Glimpse into Your New Role 

As a Metro TX Scheduler, you are also responsible for supporting the production of the final transmission schedules in a Channel Group in the scheduling system for Presentation playout and for the creation, maintenance and scheduling of Presentation Inventory 

What you get to do every day as a Metro TX Scheduler: 

• Production of Final Schedule   

  • responsible for scheduling and completion of the final telecast schedule(s) for the Channels in a Channel Group

• For Channel (Local) Placement:   

  • Local Promos  according to format avails and local programming policy

  • News Update Placement   

  • Local News Updates according to local News department policy

  • competitions   

  • pre-empts    

  • other Presentation items   

• Final schedule timing    

  • Export (finalise) the schedule(s) for playout

• Scheduling of Presentation Inventory   

  • responsible for scheduling Presentation Inventory (key numbers) in the Schedule, based on requirements from Promos, Classification and Presentation. This inventory includes:   

    • Lower Frame Supers    

    • Presentation Pointer Supers    

    • Consumer Advices (CASs)   

    • Pre-empts   

    • Openers   

    • Closers   

    • Promo Animations   

• Coordination of Schedule Amendments   

  • responsible for amendments to Promo and Program changes.   These amendments will be in electronic (email) form.   

What You’ll Bring

• Experience in BPO and backoffice work is preferred but not required
