Position: VP HR & Admin
Reporting to: President

Job Summary: As VP of HR & Admin, you will be a critical member of company''''sHuman Resourcesand Admin team working closely with the President and the leadership team, and theemployees. Our VP of HR & Admin needs to have passion for performance and people growthas this role will navigate complex issues of a high-growth start-up, and champion results-orientedapproach to ensure business success.
Responsibilities:
● Establish and implement HR efforts that effectively communicate and support thecompany''''s mission and strategic vision.
● Develop HR plans and strategies to support the achievement of the overall businessoperations objectives.
● Function as a strategic business advisor to the executive/senior management of eachbusiness unit or specialty group regarding key organizational and management issues.
● Work with the company''''s executive management team to establish a sound plan ofmanagement succession that corresponds to the strategy and objectives of thecompany.
● Develop comprehensive strategic recruiting and retention plans to meet the humancapital needs of strategic goals.
● Develop and implement comprehensive compensation and benefits plans that arecompetitive and cost-effective.
● Provide overall leadership and guidance to the HR function by overseeing talentacquisition, career development, succession planning, retention, training, leadershipdevelopment and compensation and benefits
● Develop, create, implement and monitor processes to structure HR Admin dept andensure efficient and successful output
● Partner with heads of departments to define and identify career paths for employees,and establish performance measurements
● Architect the company''''s compensation and benefits offerings to ensure it''''s fair, legal,and aligned with company strategy
● Act as a trusted adviser to employees and to the leadership team
● Build a strategy on attracting, building, and retaining talent
● Build and scale the people team as needed
● Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations concerning employment
practices, employee health, and safety, employee relations, etc.
● Supervise the work of all HR and Admin personnel and provide guidance
● Act to support the overall functionality of the office/s
● Oversee HR and Admin operations financial strategies by estimating, forecasting and
anticipating requirements; align with VP Finance for monetary resources; minimize
impact of variances; ensure cost -efficiency
Qualifications:
● A BS/BA degree and/or MBA or MA/MS in human resources or related field preferred
● A minimum of 10 years of HR experience, with at least five years of executive HR
experience
● Certification, Human Resource Professional or equivalent preferred but not required
● Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and regulations
● Full understanding of the way an organization operates to meet its objectives
● Experience in start-ups and growth stage companies a plus
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills
● Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
● Strong supervisory and leadership skills
● Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
● Knowledge of and experience with varied human resource information systems
