Job Title: Vice President for HR Operations

Job Summary:

As the Head of HR Operations, your role will be crucial in the oversight and management of human resources operations within our organization. You are responsible for the following: development and implementation of HR policies, ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations, and leading a team of HR professionals to deliver efficient and effective HR services. Your strategic mindset, strong leadership abilities, and deep understanding of HR operations will be instrumental in driving organizational success.

Responsibilities:

  1. HR Policies and Procedures: Creation and revision of HR policies, aligned with organizational goals, legal requirements, and industry best practices. This also includes regular policy reviews and updates to maintain compliance.
  2. HR Compliance and Legal Adherence: Maintain HR practices’ compliance with labor laws, regulations, and industry trends, while accounting for and responding to potential risks and legal issues.
  3. HR systems and processes: Oversight of HR systems and practices’ implementation and maintenance. This includes the following: data management, payroll, benefits administration, performance management, employee relations, and continuous evaluation and improvement of processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  4. Team leadership: Guide, support, and mentor a team of HR professionals as their leader. Set clear expectations, delegate tasks, and promote professional development to build a high-performing HR operations team.
  5. Employee data management: Ensure employee records are kept accurate, secure, and compliant with data protection regulations. Streamline data management processes through implementation and maintenance of HRIS systems.
  6. HR analytics and reporting: Generate meaningful insights and report on key HR metrics (employee turnover, recruitment effectiveness, training needs, etc.) driven by HR analytics. Present findings to senior management and make data-driven decisions.
  7. Employee relations: Support and guide employees and managers through HR-related issues, such as performance management, employee grievances, and conflict resolution. Foster a healthy work environment with positive employee relations through strategy implementation.
  8. Talent acquisition and retention: Collaborate with the talent acquisition team to develop and implement effective recruitment strategies. Collaborate with managers to identify talent needs, improve sourcing methods, and enhance the candidate experience. Implement strategies to enhance employee engagement and retention.
  9. Employee benefits and compensation: Oversight of employee benefit programs’ administration; health insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, and the like. Collaborate with finance to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing. Ensure competitive compensation packages by conducting market research.
  10. Continuous improvement: Stay informed about emerging HR trends and best practices. Proactively identify areas for improvement within HR operations and recommend process enhancements, automation, and technology adoptions.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Extensive experience in HR operations or a similar role, with a track record of successfully managing HR processes and procedures. Minimum of 7 years managerial experience managing a team of at least 8 people
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data for decision-making.
  • Proficient in HRIS systems and other HR-related software.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Certification in HR (e,g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
  • 15 years plus of working experience, must have at least 10 years' work experience in HR, and 5 years in Senior Leadership role
