Position: Video EditorNumber of hours: 10 hours/weekSchedule: CSTTasks required:Manipulate and edit videos in a way that is invisible to the audienceTake a brief to grasp clients needs and specificationsReview shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuityTrim footage segments and put together the sequence of the filmInput music, dialogues, graphics and effectsCreate rough and final cutsEnsure logical sequencing and smooth runningConsult with stakeholders from production to post-production processContinuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiencyOther ad hoc tasks that would be assignedRequirements:Proven work experience as a Video Editor is requiredSolid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects or Final Cut)Deep understanding of digital trends and editing principles as well as effective social media video formatting and compositionThorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuityDemonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolioAbility to multitask and perform under tight deadlinesExhibit strong work ethic and initiativeClear and concise communicator with effective verbal and written communication skillsSelf-disciplined and organized; able to consistently hit daily and monthly targets with limited supervision
