Videographer (SCW)

About the Position

The Santa Cruz Warriors are looking for a Videographer to shoot, edit, and create video features and content for various distribution platforms. Topics include behind-the-scenes coverage of the team on game days, Warriors community events, and sponsorship activation videos. In this role, you will work within brand guidelines to ensure all content is consistent and accurate while bringing creativity and personality to each project. This position reports to the Manager, Marketing.

This is a full-time position based onsite in Santa Cruz, CA.

Key Responsibilities

• Capture games, practice action, and press conferences to conceptualize short-form video features for the team's digital channels


• Collaborate with internal departments to build and edit features, promotional spots, and video content


• Coordinate video assets to ensure post-production workflow


• Operate all cameras and set up lighting on production shoots


• Shoot events and concerts at Kaiser Permanente Arena as needed


• Stay up to date on the latest video technologies, equipment, and trends and continuously make recommendations to improve Santa Cruz Warriors content


• Other duties as assigned

Required Experience & Skills

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in video/film production, or equivalent work experience


• Minimum 1 year of videography or photojournalism experience, preferably in the sports and entertainment industry


• Experience operating digital cinema cameras for production shoots (RED Gemini, Sony FS7, FS5, A7s) and experience with various lighting techniques


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Premiere and Adobe Creative Cloud and ability to produce compelling content across all platforms


• Ability to balance multiple projects at once in a fast-paced work environment


• Candidates must have a demo reel that demonstrates both shooting and editing experience

Time Commitment

• Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule and travel periodically (travel on non-traditional work hours and work nights, weekends, and holidays may be required)

Compensation

• $20.00 per hour + Bonus
