Visa Officer

Purpose of the Position:

The purpose of the position is to support the operations department with the visa processing of all joining crew.

The Visa Officer is responsible for applying all seafarers’ visa as required by the principal prior to their joining a country requiring entry visa.

 In the absence of the Visa Officer, the Assistant Flag State Officer will take over all task related with the process.

Qualifications:

1. Must be a graduate of any 4-year degree course.


2. Must have an extensive experience in crew manning or Shipmanagement for a minimum of 2 years holding a similar position or its equivalent.

Core Job Functions:   

1. The Visa Officer ensures that all joining crew possesses a proper and valid entry visa on hand before joining as required by the country of destination.


2. The Visa Officer coordinates the appointments between the seafarers and the related foreign consulates.


3. The Visa Officer is responsible with the collection and submission of all documents as required by the foreign consulate.


4. The Visa Officer is responsible for any visa related payment in coordination with the accounting department.


5. The Visa Officer is responsible in updating and monitoring the crew database for all applied visas.


6. The Visa Officer is responsible in maintaining a monthly statistical report of all visas applied.


7. Responsible for updating the company on the latest regulations of the various embassies.
