Warehouse Supervisor

The Warehouse Supervisor leads the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring accurate, efficient, and safe movement and storage of goods. This role focuses on operational excellence, team character development, and cost efficiency while maintaining a well-organized and secure facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Supervision & Development
• Lead, mentor, and evaluate warehouse staff to uphold productivity, discipline, and teamwork.
• Instill a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement.
• Provide training on safety, SOPs, and inventory handling procedures.
• Warehouse Operations
• Oversee receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching of items according to schedules and standards.
• Ensure accuracy in inventory transactions and documentation using warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Coordinate closely with logistics, production, and purchasing teams to align warehousing activities with business needs.
• Facility Management
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of the warehouse and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
• Schedule routine checks and maintenance of racks, equipment, and facility infrastructure.
• Inventory Control
• Conduct cycle counts and physical inventory audits to minimize discrepancies.
• Monitor stock movement and identify aging or slow-moving inventory.
• Implement FIFO / FEFO and other inventory best practices.
• Cost Efficiency & Reporting
• Manage warehouse labor, space utilization, and consumables efficiently.
• Monitor KPIs such as inventory accuracy, order fulfillment rate, and on-time dispatch.
• Prepare operational reports and improvement plans for management review.

• Graduate of any business, logistics, or supply chain-related course.
• At least 2–3 years of experience in warehouse operations, with 1 year in a supervisory or team lead role.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in using warehouse management systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Familiar with 5S, Kaizen, or other operational excellence methodologies is a plus.
• Physically fit and able to lead by example in a fast-paced warehouse setting.
