Web Support Engineer I

Position Overview

Web Support Engineers provide technical support to teams within the organization and to external users when required for systems that run and integrate with our web platforms.

What you’ll do at Insight

• Use problem-solving skills to analyze root cause of issues and provide immediate responses or resolution.
• Identify potential issues and contribute to the formulation of plans to address these before they become actual problems.
• Regularly collaborate with various teams, escalate to, and coordinate with next-level support or engineering groups for more sever concerns that the team can’t handle alone
• Maintain comprehensive knowledgebase of issues and resolutions, technical documentation, and procedures
• Manage tasks and assignments using a service ticketing system

What you’ll need to join Insight

• Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years’ experience in a related discipline
• At least 1 year experience as Technical Support or Customer Service Representative
• Strong analytical skills
• With moderate skills in Windows and MS Office
• Able to thrive in an environment characterized by rapidly changing requirements and an ongoing focus on meeting operational objectives
• Strong written and verbal English communications skills
• Able to successfully manage multiple priorities
• Proven ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
• Strong commitment to company values and operating principles

Preferred

• Basic Linux skills, preferably CentOS or RHEL
• Basic SQL skills, preferably with MS SQL Server
• Basic experience in SharePoint
• Basic command line skills (for Windows: DOS or PowerShell, for Linux: bash)
