EMAPTA is looking for Data Validation Analysts who can join our team in Baguio!

Our client is the leading provider of retail performance insights, analyzing customer counting and sales across the entire retail portfolio for organizations worldwide. They use technology as an objective and consistent measure to provide insights into the performance of specific initiatives and broader strategic changes.

What does it take to be successful in this role:

• Working in a team of data quality analysts, you will check the validity of the data collected overnight from our equipment in Shopping Centres, High Streets, Retail Parks, and retail stores.
  
• Our in-house pattern recognition software will identify where data is missing or does not match the expected profile. You will then need to investigate if these anomalies are due to valid changes in customer/retailer behavior (e.g., sales promotion increasing the numbers) or due to a fault with the equipment. If the latter, you will need to raise a request for one of our engineers to visit and, in the meantime, monitor and adjust the data accordingly so the client reports are unaffected.
  
• You will need to be inquisitive and use the internet to do research, phone the customer, or talk to our engineers to get to the real cause of the data changes.
  
• You will also need to keep accurate records of any changes made to the data and the reasons so we can run reports on data changes for our customers.
  
• In addition, you will assist in setting up new locations in the database and answering ad-hoc queries from customers regarding their data.
  

Skills Required:

• Exceptional English communication skills – both spoken and written
  
• Keen attention to detail
  
• Very strong data analytical skills
  
• Knowledge of mathematical and statistical concepts and equations is an advantage.
  
• Good understanding of MS Excel and Access
  
• Highly trainable and can follow specific instructions required to yield accurate output
  
• Highly organized and understands the importance of documenting progress
  
• With a “CAN-DO” attitude
  
• Can work in a team environment
  
• Amenable to observing shifting schedules as needed
