Job Description

Specification:

Ø College Graduate- Degree Holder

Ø Preferably has 5-year experience in managing or part of the management team of an FMCG or Distribution Company

Ø Preferably has gained considerable experience or stature in leading a specific operation or function within a distributor operation

Ø Preferably able to drive a motorized vehicle

Responsibility and Authority

Ø Ensures execution of Quality of Sales by the distributor sales force in adherence to set policies, standard call procedures (ICE) and standards in Sales and Distribution.

Ø Ensures Optimization of Del Monte’s trade investments and resources

Ø Ensures successful implementation of Cycle Plans and strategies (availability, visibility and accessibility) in the trade and provides feedback on market intelligence

Ø Ensure implementation of effective Territory and Field Resource Management

Ø Initiate effective solutions to support cost effective operations and ensure support though sound financial simulations

Ø Work with the Finance Manager in protecting financial interests of the distributor and ensure alignment to set standards.

Ø Ensure compliance to set standards on Warehouse and Logistics Operations.

Ø Work with the SCM Manager to ensure strict implementation of key initiatives to support efficient warehouse and customer service operations

Ø Ensures regular monitoring of all KRAs required by DMPI.

Ø Facilitate regular operations review of all functional areas

Ø Address complex operational issues elevated by functional areas and ensure corrective action

Ø Represent the distributor in key meetings with DMPI to include but not limited to: Distributor Business Meetings, Distributor Business Planning and Review and Regional Sales meetings where applicable

Ø Ensure achievement of optimum performance ratings on Distributor Business Dashboard and DCAR

Ø Ensure compliance to set HR policies and processes on Recruitment, Labor relations, Compensation, Benefits and Performance Management

Ø Act as final decision maker/approver on elevated issues on employee discipline, Compensation, benefits and performance management

Ø Maintain industrial peace within the distributor organization

Ø Continuous review and coaching of team performance against objectives and competencies

Ø  Identify development needs and opportunities of team and ensure appropriate actions are taken to address these
